Not all hummus dips are created equal. Can’t beat homemade! Especially when it’s got a kick to it, like this Thai carrot hummus has.
I wasn’t sure what to do with a can of green chili sauce that I randomly bought at Trader Joe’s, and it turned out to be the best addition to my hummus.
How to prepare this as a grazing board:
– Steam 13 oz (half a bag) of carrots for 10 minutes then rinse them under cold water;
– Roughly chop the carrots and 3 garlic cloves, and add them to a blender or food processor along with white beans (such as cannelloni or garbanzo) that have been rinsed in a colander, plus a dash (1 tbsp) of olive oil;
– Blend all the ingredients until you have a smooth, even consistency;
– Garnish your hummus with a drizzle of olive oil, sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and white pepper;
– Assemble veggies (e.g. radish/carrot slices or snow peas) and rice cakes around the hummus. Bowl. @lundbergfarms’ tamari & seaweed rice cakes go so well with it!
