What if I told you that you could eat like you’re on vacation in Baltimore, by recreating the best guacamole dish available in the city from your own kitchen? Well, you can! After visiting Maximón last summer, I’ve been dreaming of recreating this recipe ever since. I finally got around to coming up with a copycat Maximón guacamole recipe so I could enjoy their signature appetizer on the regular. I’ve gotta say, this tastes pretty identical to the real thing!
About Maximón
Late last summer, Atlas Restaurant Group launched yet another one of their premier restaurants in Baltimore, offering not only swanky vibes but unique, delicious dishes inspired by global cuisine. Maximón has contemporary South American and Mexican-inspired cuisine with stunning views of the Inner Harbor. What else do you expect from a restaurant that’s located inside the Four Seasons Hotel?
Make it Yourself!
Before I visited Maximón, I never would have thought of adding pomegranate seeds to guacamole. But hey, we’re switching things up in 2020! This copycat recipe is LIT. Let me know how you like it by sharing your creation on Instagram and tagging me @EatLikeYoureOnVacation!
Ingredients
Guacamole
- 4 ripe avocados
- Juice of 1 lime (2 tbsp)
- 10 shakes of Trader Joe's chili lime seasoning
- 6 shakes of garlic powder
- ground black pepper
Toppings
- 5 oz queso blanco
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- ½ cup pomagranite seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the guacamole by adding all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix everything together with a potato masher. Don't over stir or else it won't be chunky!
- Top with queso blanco, pomegranite seeds, and chopped cilantro. Enjoy!
