If you live in the DC, Maryland, Virginia-area (DMV) then you’re in luck–there are so many places that offer cooking classes within an hour apart from each another!
I’d love to eventually check out each cooking class location in the area so I can compare the different instructors, kitchens spaces, and class sizes to find out which venue I’d like best. I used to think cooking classes weren’t necessary for people who already knew how to cook, but now that I’ve taken a couple of classes, I’ve realized that cooking is just like any other skill you may hope to improve–it requires practice. As the old adage goes, “You don’t know what you don’t know.” If you get a little outside your comfort zone, you will learn about different cooking techniques, types of cuisines, and will likely be introduced to new ingredients.
Weeknight cooking classes make fun activities to break up the week. I used to assume most people did them as dates, but they’d also be fun to do as a team-building activity with colleagues, during family gatherings, or as a night out with friends.
